Details
Kyondo is a sub county in the central part of the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda. Agri Evolve has been working here directly with coffee farmers for the last 5 years, helping them to improve the quality and quantity of their coffee crops. They also contribute to the surrounding environment and local community by running tree planting schemes and by creating energy efficient stoves for farmers making savings on buying firewood.
Agri Evolve have recently built their own wet & dry mills at nearby Nyabirongo, where Masereka Adonia, the Agri Evolve promoter farmer, coordinates the local farmers harvests. In Kyondo there are many smallholders each farming very small plots of less than an acre.
This unique regions altitude and fertile soil makes for large, sweet cherries which after careful processing gives us a typically fruity, well balanced natural coffee.
This juicy natural is wonderful and full of tropical notes of roasted pineapple with a soft honey sweetness and cocoa finish. A clean and satisfying cup of coffee, whether brewed as filter or espresso.
