About Us

Voyager is a small but super-charged team looking to make the UK better through coffee. What does that mean, you might ask? Well, we believe that access to great coffee, no matter where you find yourself, helps you power through those less enjoyable parts of your day and enables an endless stream of productivity during all the rest. A few years ago, we took this a step further, we began searching for an alternative to single-use plastic packaging. What we found is made from 100% plants, a completely renewable resource. Since then we’ve been pushing to accelerate the coffee industry transition towards completely sustainable packaging, an area that for a long time has lacked any innovation.

On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, we hand roast sustainable, award-winning coffees. We have an awesome array of customers from quirky mobile coffee trailers and coffee houses to restaurants and boutique hotels as well as retail delicatessens and a thriving home-brewing customer base. We are a small company with big ideas and a team that put in 100% to provide our customers with an unparalleled combination of outstanding coffee, equipment & services that are remarkable in every sense.

If we have open roles they are listed below but you’re also welcome to send an open application in! Please send all applications as a CV and/or Cover Letter in PDF format to [email protected]. If you require further information please do not hesitate to email us and we can provide full job specification.

You will be the key team member making sure orders go out to all our customers on time and with precision.

To put you in control of this, you’ll also oversee purchasing, price negotiation, contracting, and goods-in. You’ll lead the majority of our logistics, working directly with most of the team to maintain an efficient, five star service. We provide excellent customer experience at all levels across the business. The role will take responsibility for buying, stock price negotiations, and contracting company resources for multiple teams. The position requires a highly organised individual with extreme attention to detail who is comfortable liaising with multiple teams but is also happy working long stretches on their own.

Roastery Production Assistant – April 2024

We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic & dynamic person to work with our Head of Coffee Production here in Buckfastleigh. The role of Roastery Production Assistant is a full time position that puts you at the heart of our roastery. It’s busy, fast paced and a physical job, but lots of fun and there’s always plenty of coffee!

As a roastery production assistant, you’ll be integral to our swift and fresh supply of Voyager
to our wholesale and at-home customers. The role will include roasting, grinding and packing coffee in our 100% compostable bags. The packing will cover bagging and boxing of coffee heading out to coffee houses as well as supporting the preparation of home-brewing customer orders. You’ll be part of the roastery production team with a focus on roasting and packing to support the Head of Production. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn everything there is to know about coffee, with weekly cuppings and espresso training. The right person for this role will have a love for specialty coffee, be confident, highly-motivated and ready to get stuck in as part of a super-charged team at a thriving coffee hub.

The position requires a highly alert, hard-working, and adaptable person, who has the desire
to learn and the ability to follow and maintain roast profiles to meet quality control. The role
also requires packing a large volume of coffee using our semi-automatic dosing machine. The goal is to maintain stock weeks in advance of use but in some cases there may be a rush to pack and restock a particular product in a short time frame. Roaster and equipment cleaning and maintenance will also play an integral part to the week to minimise equipment downtime. Alongside this, the role requires surveying equipment each day to confirm no parts have been lost into packed products as well as completing tracking documents relating to our Food Safety & Quality policy.
