UGANDA | KALINGWE – We picked this coffee as an example a good ‘naturally processed’ coffee, in stark contrast to the majority of ‘washed’ coffees we roast. Natural coffees have a sweet, boozy, and in some cases ‘creamy’ flavour to them. Expect a subtle bilberry milkshake flavour with a floral rosehip finish.
COLOMBIA | LA ALBANIA – When extracted as espresso and drunk with milk, there’s a lovely toasted-rye sweetness to this single-origin coffee matched by a cherry jam complexity that cuts through the milk. When drunk black the pumpkin seed nuttiness comes to the front with the cherry notes adding complexity over the top. Try our recommended, extended Aeropress brew for a little more of the cherry jam complexity when drunk as a black filter coffee and let us know what you think.
HONDURAS | CAPUCAS – The cooperatives we source from often do an amazing amount of community work in their towns like Capucas does, but they also have the infrastructure to set up and fund their own organic certification. This organic coffee showcases a bold walnut body with a damson plum sweetness and a carob finish – a perfect coffee for those cold winter mornings.
COLOMBIA | NARINO – This coffee was produced by 120 smallholders from the area around Juanambu, in Eastern Narino, South Western Colombia. The region of Buesaco is known for its quality of coffee-producing lots that have placed in the Cup of Excellence in Colombia. This coffee is complex and sweet with a good body, chased by clean notes of nectarine, caramel, and cocoa.
